Environmental Policy/Statement
We are a responsible, modern company, aiming to offer our customers quality products that wont "Cost-the-Earth"
1) Timber
a) Timber Sourcing
Truly renewable, CO2 neutral and recyclable, timber from properly managed sources is the ideal "Green" material. All of the timber used in our 'A Boards' is supplied from responsible suppliers conforming to FSC and/or PEFC "Chain of Custody" certification.
b) Disposal
Our policy for disposal for any wood-waste from our operations is to:
- Re-Process - recycle
- Use as firewood - Larger off-cuts
- Compost - wood chips, saw-dust & small off-cuts
2) Finishes
Only water-based wood preservatives and stain finishes are used on these products. The majority of the adhesives that we use are also water based.
3) Fixtures & FIttings
All of our metal fixtures & fittings are recyclable. We endevour to "design-out" materials that are not recyclable.
Packing Materials
We recycle/re-use as much packing material as possible that we receive from our suppliers, packaging which we purchase new is made from recyclable materials.
